What makes it extraordinary? Twenty models have been selected to walk the runway for Uni-ke’s first collective showcase. The SS22 cohort includes surfers, computer engineers, actors, congressional photographers, writers, entrepreneurs, and more. They come from as far as Seoul, South Korea and as close as New York City itself. They hold PhDs, study law, win international beauty pageants, and lead social causes.
Here are 10 of the SS22 models walking for Uni-ke.
1. Cydney Makara
Cydney Makara started modeling at the age of 14 and has worked with brands such as Adidas and H&M. She has been published in multiple magazines and even been on the cover of a few.
2. Karan Malik
Karan Malik holds the title of Mr. India America 17. He is also a computer engineer who holds a PhD.
3. Bianka Da Silva
Bianka Da Silva might be recognized as Miss Teen Brazil America, or perhaps as Miss New Jersey Teen USA. She is the youngest member of the lineup, but perhaps the one with the most experience of all, as she has been walking professional runways since her early teens.
4. James Marrow
James Marrow is usually found on the other side of the spotlight. Based out of the DMV, he can often be seen taking pictures of political figures.
5. Leif Wood
Leif Wood, with unite-unite Model Management, is a surfer and writer based out of New York City.
6. Zeyna Ly
Zeyna Ly, of Luft Agency, is a law student and experienced model based out of Los Angeles.
7. Taylor Taeho Ji
Taylor Taeho Ji comes from Seoul, South Korea, and Uni-ke’s runway will be his first runway experience in New York. He is signed to BMG Models (NYC).
8. Evelina Kura
Evelina Kura is the 22-year-old designer of Lina Fits, a label that is exclusively hand-made in New York City, with each piece made to fit the wearer.
9. Essence
Essence, of JAG Modeling Agency, is a student and model based out of the east cost, frequently traveling between Phily, NYC, and the DMV area.
10. Jordan Mahr
Jordan Mahr, of Prestigious Models, comes with a background in theater, film, and commercial modeling.
